The Indian rupee has gained against the dollar, thanks to a positive trend in stocks and foreign investment. The Indian Rupee opened at 79.87 to the US Dollar and gained 6 paise before closing at 79.86.


The rupee declined by 6 paise to close at 79.92 against the American currency in the previous session.


The dollar is rising against other currencies. The latest statistics show a 0.05% increase to 108.51.
